12th Annual Celebration of Teaching call for proposals is now open!
Submissions are due by April 12, 2021.

Dates: May 19 & 20, 2021

Theme: Online Teaching and Learning, with a focus on Universal Design for Learning.

Mizzou educators, please submit a 50-minute session proposal to engage your colleagues with evidence-based and innovative teaching approaches. We suggest sharing success stories from this past year. Proposals for panel presentations that highlight extraordinary teaching, learning, and assessment practices and provide breadth across curriculum are strongly encouraged. Proposals are due by Monday, April 12, 2021.

Higher priority will be given to proposals that provide engagement opportunities on the following topics:

  • Equitable access to materials, resources, and opportunities (in the course and beyond)
  • Authentic assessment techniques: testing, grades, and feedback
  • Successful engagement strategies
  • Lessons learned from highly interactive online classes
  • Application of insights from online learning to in-person learning, for example,
    • peer teaching
    • breakout rooms
    • maximizing the course Canvas site
  • Reflection opportunities

The planning committee will use this rubric when making selections.

Submit your Celebration session proposal

By mid to late April, selection determinations will be shared. Presenters of accepted proposals will receive their presentation dates and times, soon after.
