Welcome Our New Faculty Fellows

The Teaching for Learning Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Lea Wood, Dr. Mannie Liscum, Dr. Sounak Chakraborty, and Dr. Sharan Srinivas as new Faculty Fellows. Their interdisciplinary expertise will strengthen the T4LC’s work supporting innovative, and effective teaching across Mizzou.

Dr. Lea Wood is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Sinclair School of Nursing who brings expertise in nursing education, clinical simulation, problem-based learning, family practice, and women’s health.

Dr. Mannie Liscum is a Professor of Biological Sciences who brings expertise in student-centered teaching, critical thinking, plant biology, and examining how prejudice and eugenics have influenced science and public policy.

Dr. Sounak Chakraborty is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Statistics and Data Science who brings expertise in Bayesian modeling, machine learning, generative AI, big-data analytics, biostatistics, and interdisciplinary applications of data science.

Dr. Sharan Srinivas is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Industrial and Systems Engineering who brings expertise in data analytics, operations research, machine learning, simulation, supply-chain optimization, and solving real-world problems through data.

Together, these Faculty Fellows bring perspectives from nursing, biological sciences, statistics, artificial intelligence, engineering, and operations research to help advance teaching and student learning throughout the university.
